Merry Christmas Everyone!! I hope that the holiday this year brought as much happiness as you could possibly handle! And if not, hope you drank enough to not care :) I was very blessed this Christmas, I was surrounded by my family and friends...I am truley blessed to have a great family and a few close friends that I consider family. This the girls in my family decided to have an orament exchange, which was an excuse for us to go shopping for each other and then hit up the Olive Garden, get our grub and imbibing on and then do more shopping at Cherry Hill, convientlently located right around the corner from the resturant!!! I was especially excited when I picked the newest addition to our family..Kristine Gasiewski...Mrs. G for short...My cousin's wifey..lol...she is an absolute blessing to our family! Me and Cakey are so exicted to have another girl on our side...being raised with 6 boys, a lovely gal is so refresing. Her and Jim were married on June 21, 2008...and we all had a blast at the amazing wedding she planned, and she looked hot. Triple Threat! :) Kris comes from an Irish family...I picked her out a pretty glass shamrock ornament for her tree, My Babci had me..she gave me 3 glass ornaments that ROCK b/c they are all shades of pink and orange..my faves..(they also match my pink christmas tree) and we all had a great time at the O.G! At the mall, I gave Kris a makeover at Sephora. :):) Now this part will lead to some controversy...After doing Kris's makeup and realizing that this is what I have truley wanted to do since I was 18..I have decided to put being a school teacher on hold for awhile and I have enrolled in Empire Beauty School full time to become a cosmotologist. I officially start on January 26, 2009...Making others (and myslef) glamourous and bringing out natural beauty has always been a passion of mine. So excited, can't wait...At the mall that night, I also had a 16 year old moment when we passed Piercing Pagoda and Kristine stated that she wanted her cartlidge pierced...so in the moment, I grabbed her and we did, both, in fact get our cartlige pierced. Thats how I roll, and I don't think Kristine will be saying she wants to go skydiving or anything of that nature around me anymore!! lol...so i'm a little spontaneous. Its called spunk, people!! lol...I have put some pics up of that night...
So for the past couple of days, I have basically been cleaning like a maniac, getting everything in order to put away all of my new christmas presents.... :)
Also, hanging out and playing some really cool games!!! Jim gave Kris a Wii for Christmas, along with Wii Fit....yeah, its no joke people!!! Wii isn't nice either, it tells you exactly how fat you are!!! boo!! its tons of fun, though, and i must applaud Kris on breaking her hula hooping record yesterday of 299 hoops!!! You do go, girl :):) We played some pretty hip electronic board games (the only time i can say i was a neurosurgeon and that i made 1.5 million every year...and still lose the game!!) I also helped Kris make gingerbread men cookies!!! And then my hairdresser / best friend sabotaged me!!! After some indiscretions before Christmas, i could not get my hair done at the beginning of the week...So I rolled over in bed this morning to a phone call from Ang, and promptly asked her to do my hair as I looked like an unloved girl with roots from hell. She insisted we do lowlight, and as always, I trust her with my hair. So to Sally I went and picked out a color called "twilight brown" ( i must say the movie did have some influence on my decision), however, the most influential part of this particular hair color is the description by Clairol stating "the lightest natural brown". HA! I'll give you low lights!!! Ang, assuming I would, in fact, do something like this, yelled "don't even think about dark blond!!". And It wasn't dark blond. it was possibly the lightest brown I could find :) so after 8 hours, 2 processes, and 15 different styles...we have a brunette with white highlights....I think God actually made me wrong. As much as I love myself, I am do believe I am a true blond and do not believe I could go for more than 3 weeks with full brown hair. I also believe this with my skin. I DO TAN. :):) God just genetically f'd up. I forgive him...hence why I am going to be a colorist. :) check out some new pics of my hair color, also....so much more to tell...but getting sleepy!!! xoxo....
p.s.
after my aunt has adopted the year of 2008 as the 'winging it' year, i am now making 2009 the "follow through" year. so mean what you say, and say what you mean!!! I am going to try, at least. :)
